Union minister finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday targeted Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra over the rape and murder of a six-year-old Dalit girl in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district and accused the Congress leaders of visiting “every other place which can help them politically.”
“A six-year-old offspring of a Dalit traveler worker from Bihar is assaulted, slaughtered and the body half-consumed in Hoshiarpur and it doesn’t shake the soul of the sibling and sister who hurries to each other spot which can help them strategically,” the BJP pioneer said about the wrongdoing in the Congress-administered state.

A man and his granddad have been captured for assaulting and setting on fire the six-year-old young lady, a day after her half-consumed body was recuperated from their home at Jalalpur town in Tanda, police said on Thursday. The captures were made on charges of homicide, assault, and other application segments of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
