Amit Shah Arrives In Bengal For Two-Day Visit
In a tweet upon his arrival in Kolkata, Amit Shah wrote, “I bow to this revered land of greats like Gurudev Tagore, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar and Syama Prasad Mookerjee.”
BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Kolkata after 1 am on Saturday on a two-day visit to take stock of his party’s affairs in West Bengal ahead of the Assembly elections slated to be held in the next few months.
In a tweet upon his appearance in Kolkata, he stated, “I bow to this venerated place where there are greats like Gurudev Tagore, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, and Syama Prasad Mookerjee.”
Hypotheses are overflowing that Suvendu Adhikari, who surrendered his bureau portfolios and the Trinamool Congress, may join the BJP during Mr. Shah’s visit alongside a huge number of disappointed TMC pioneers, including some MLAs.
Mr. Shah will address a public assembly at Midnapore on Saturday where various TMC pioneers are probably going to join the BJP.
The BJP’s state boss Dilip Ghosh hosts said that Mr. Shah and gathering president JP Nadda would visit West Bengal consistently till the get-together races, likely in April-May, are finished.
Mr. Nadda was on a day-long visit to north Bengal in October and went ahead a two-day visit a week ago, while Shah was in the state for two days in November.
