Amit Shah speaks to Tamil Nadu and Kerala CMs over Cyclone Burevi, promises all possible help
In view of the impending cyclone, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red alert for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha districts of Kerala for December 3.
Union home minister Amit Shah on Thursday spoke to chief ministers of Tamil Nadu and Kerala as Cyclone Burevi barrels towards India’s southern coast. The cyclonic storm is expected to make landfall late on Thursday night or early Friday morning.
“Modi government is submitted for all conceivable help to help individuals of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. A few groups of NDRF are now sent in both the states,” Shah said on Twitter.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has given red alarm for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Alappuzha regions of Kerala for December 3. There is red caution for four locales of Tamil Nadu as well.
Subsequent to hitting the Tamil Nadu coast, the twister is relied upon to traverse to Kerala either on Thursday night or Friday morning
“Tornado Burevi will arise into the Gulf of Mannar in the following 3 hours. It will reach close to Pamban and Kanniyakumari around early afternoon and cross the south Tamilnadu coast on the third night to fourth early morning,” the IMD said on Twitter on Thursday morning.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has sent 26 help groups in Tamil Nadu and Kerala kept one group available for later in Puducherry.
PM Narendra Modi Wednesday talked with the main pastors of Tamil Nadu and Kerala Wednesday and examined the circumstance winning in pieces of the states because of the approaching twister while vowing all conceivable help from the Center.
“We talked about the conditions winning in pieces of the state because of Cyclone Burevi. The focus will offer all conceivable help to TN. I petition God for the prosperity and security of those living in the territories influenced,” PM Modi tweeted.
Typhoon Burevi, named by the Maldives, won’t be as solid as Cyclone Nivar which lashed the northern shoreline of Tamil Nadu a week ago, said climate office authorities. They said the tempest is relied upon to have a speed of 80-90 km/hour not at all like Nivar which had a speed of 110-130 km/hour.
