Arnab Goswami in police station, interrogation lasted for 2 hours
TV anchor Arnab Goswami was questioned by the police for two and a half hours. He reached NM Joshi Marg Police Station around 2 pm on Wednesday. Two FIRs have been filed against Goswami.
Mumbai Police questioned the editor-in-chief of Republic TV Arnab Goswami on Wednesday in connection with the alleged inflammatory remarks. Goswami reached NM Joshi Marg Police Station around 2 pm. He was questioned for about two hours. Police officers preceded them by Republic TV Chief Financial Officer (CFO) S.K. Questioned Sundaram.
Outside the police station, Goswami accused him of taking political vendetta against him and for deliberately disrupting his media-related actions by the Mumbai police. Arnab appealed to the media fraternity to unite. He said, ‘The truth is with me. We will win. I have put the facts before the Mumbai Police. She told me that she could call me again for questioning. ‘
What is the charge?
Two FIRs have been registered against Goswami. They are accused of making inflammatory remarks in a news program about the large number of migrant workers gathering outside the Bandra railway terminus during the lockdown. Goswami told reporters, ‘When I started to prove in front of them that the whole case against me is fabricated and the video clip (of the show) has been edited and presented out of context. Then the investigating officer said that he would call me later for questioning.
Accuse congress
Goswami said, “I told him that it is not right for me to pose a (health risk) during the current coronavirus situation.” When asked what his next step would be, he said, “We will fight in court.” Goswami was questioned for two hours and his CFO for 6 hours. Goswami said, ‘This is clearly and blatantly political vendetta. The Vadra-Congress is mistakenly misusing the Mumbai Police but will fail as usual.

Goswami said, “I stand by my point of view of the coverage of the performance of the Palghar and Bandra migrants. New media is becoming stronger in New India. It is time for Lutyens Brigade to introspect. ‘ Significantly, the Bombay High Court on Tuesday refused to exempt Goswami from appearing before the police in the case. He was asked to appear before the police on Wednesday. Police had summoned him for questioning in connection with a complaint lodged against Goswami.
