The Alibaug municipal council primary school, which is 15 minutes away from the police station, is being guarded by several police personnel.

Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami (47), arrested for allegedly abetting the suicide of an interior designer, spent his first night in judicial custody in a one-storey municipal school that has been turned into a makeshift Covid-19 quarantine centre for the Alibaug prison in Raigad.

On Wednesday, knowing about Goswami’s remand application had delayed for more than six hours, running late in the night, prior to the judge court in Alibaug chose to send him to 14-day legal authority. Not long after the consultation finished, Goswami was reclaimed to Alibaug police headquarters, from where he was moved to the school.

The Alibaug civil gathering elementary school, which is 15 minutes from the police headquarters, is being watched by a few police faculty. Passage to pariahs has been confined.

Further, the Alibaug police on Thursday night documented an update request testing the officer court’s organization dismissing their police authority remand of Goswami and the other denounced.
