Ashok Lavasa is set to join the Philippines-based Asian Development Bank as vice-president next month.

Election Commissioner Ashok Lavasa, who was next in line to head the poll panel, resigned on Tuesday to join the Philippines-based Asian Development Bank (ADB) as vice-president next month.

Lavasa has presented his abdication to President Ram Nath Kovind and has mentioned being diminished on August 31.
