iPhone 11 prices may decrease in India
Apple has not yet reduced the price of the phone, as the company is also selling iPhone 11 handsets made in China in India. But, industry executives say this could be an option going forward. Will help to increase production base outside China
The recent move points to the growing localization of Apple’s manufacturing in the country. The company wants to take advantage of the benefits under the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. An executive said the move would help Apple expand its production base outside China as well, especially at a time when the US-China relationship is tense. Apple India has not answered Economic Times questions about this.
