Big threat for WhatsApp users, warning issued
WABetaInfo has issued a warning for WhatsApp users. It says that using the modified and fake version of WhatsApp is a big threat to data security and privacy.
WhatsApp users are facing great danger. Users are being alerted about the fake version of WhatsApp. WABetaInfo, a website tracking WhatsApp news and updates, has issued a warning about a modified version of WhatsApp. WAbetaInfo wrote in its tweet that the modified version of WhatsApp cannot be called a better option for better privacy and security.
In this tweet, an attempt has been made to explain that the modified version of WhatsApp may look attractive, but it is not so good that some kind of risk is raised for them.
Man-in-the-middle attack game
Hackers can easily make users a victim through modified WhatsApp. These fake WhatsApp developers can steal hackers’ data from man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks. With the help of this attack, hackers can access the chatting by editing the software and can read the messages as well as edit them.
The threat of account ban
It has also been told in several warnings released that the company has not verified the modified version of WhatsApp. Also, if a user uses them, his WhatsApp account can be banned. Many times users start using fake versions instead of the original due to some more features. This is not true of security and privacy.
New features will be available in a beta version first
You can download the official version of WhatsApp from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Also, if you want to use a feature of WhatsApp earlier than other users, for this you will have to use the beta version of WhatsApp.
