Maharashtra’s ruling Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) did not manage to even win a single seat in the Bihar assembly elections with the former fetching fewer votes than the voters who exercised the None of the Above (NOTA) option. The Shiv Sena polled 0.05% of the total votes while NOTA fetched 1.68% votes.
All Sena applicants lost their stores, a Sena functionary said. As indicated by the Election Commission site, the NCP got 0.23% votes. In 2015 as well, the gathering challenged 40 seats with no achievement.
The Shiv Sena, which quit the Bharatiya Janata Party-drove partnership to shape the administration in Maharashtra with NCP and Congress’ assistance in 2019, doesn’t a lot of influence outside the state. Be that as it may, it has been challenging get together and public decisions in states, for example, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan to expand its base. It has been fruitless up until this point.
Sena pioneers said they offered passes to nearby functionaries and social exercises with some presence in their supporters. The gathering at first intended to challenge around 50 seats yet around 30 Sena up-and-comers documented their designation structures. Just 22 up-and-comers of them stayed in the fight after the investigation of papers.
