BJP Spending Crores to Bring in AIMIM to Split Muslim Votes, Sharpen Communal Polarisation: Mamata Banerjee
Trinamool Congress supremo and Bengal CM Mamata Banerjer said “the plan is that BJP will eat into Hindu votes, and this Hyderabad party will eat into Muslim votes”.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Tuesday slammed the BJP for trying to import Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM in Bengal to sharpen the communal polarization and divide the Hindu-Muslim votes among themselves.
Following a decent show in the Bihar Assembly surveys, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) has declared to challenge in following year’s decisions in West Bengal.
In the late closed Bihar races, the AIMIM won five seats in the Muslims-ruled Seemanchal district on the outskirt of West Bengal. “To partition the Muslim votes, the BJP is spending crores of rupees to acquire a gathering from Hyderabad. The arrangement is that BJP will eat into Hindu votes, and this Hyderabad gathering will eat into Muslim votes.
“In ongoing Bihar decisions, they did likewise. This gathering is a B-group of the BJP,” Banerjee said while tending to a meeting here. The ideological groups in West Bengal are fearful that political conditions in the commonly captivated state are set to observe huge changes as the influence of non-BJP parties over minorities, a critical factor in a few seats has all the earmarks of being set for a solid test with AIMIM declaring that it will enter the survey fight in Bengal.
An integral factor in almost 100-110 seats in the express, the 30% Muslim populace, till 2019, have gone about as a rampart of the TMC against its opponents, with the majority of them casting a ballot for the gathering, believing it to be a “solid” power that can oppose the saffron flood. A part of the TMC initiative is fearful that with the passage of AIMIM, conditions are probably going to adjust.
Decisions to the 294-part West Bengal get-together are expected in April-May one year from now.
