All schools in Delhi will remain closed till further orders in view of the COVID-19 situation, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who also holds the education portfolio, said today. He added that even parents are not in favour of resuming regular classes.

On October 5, the Delhi government had reported all schools in the city-state will remain shut till October 31, when the choice would be assessed.

The emphasis comes as Delhi encounters a new flood in Covid cases. Recently, the public capital saw a record number of new contaminations – 4,853. The uptick in nearby cases has stressed individuals in Delhi, where contamination adds to the danger up and coming winter, and laxity during celebration season may present.
