“The zoo saw the demise of an earthy colored fish owl in its imprisonment. Its cloacal, tracheal, and visual swabs were shipped off the creature farming unit of the Delhi government for serological assessment,” zoo Director Ramesh Pandey was cited as saying by news office Press Trust Of India.
Mr. Pandey said that the examples were discovered positive for H5N8 avian flu infection under constant RT-PCR test done by Bhopal’s ICAR-National Institute of High-Security Animal Disease (NIHSAD).
