Ghulam Nabi Azad hits out at Cong’s ‘5-star culture, disconnect’
The Congress churn over its rapidly depleting electoral base continued on Sunday with letter writer and veteran Ghulam Nabi Azad saying the party had been hit by a “five- star culture” and stood disconnected from the grassroots.
Calling for earnest races at the degree of the square, locale and state Congress boards, Azad, who was among 23 pioneers to ask Congress president Sonia Gandhi recorded as a hard copy for an authoritative update this August, said today that pioneers looking for change were “reformists and not rebels”.
“We are not agitators or dissidents. We are reformists representing the improvement of the gathering. We are not against the Congress administration. Or maybe we are fortifying the authority by proposing changes,” said Azad, days after another letter essayist and previous pastor Kapil Sibal openly said the time for reflection in the Congress was throughout and now was the ideal opportunity for activity.
Responding to the Bihar political decision loss of the gathering, Azad accused the five-star culture, which he said was hurting the gathering’s possibilities.
“Congress pioneers at different levels should surrender this five-star culture in any event during decisions. State in charges must visit the field and not be in a rush to re-visitation of their five-star inns around evening time when they are overseeing races. They ought to rather go among the individuals with neighborhood pioneers,” said Azad.
