Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Tests Covid Positive

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant tweeted this morning to say that he has tested positive for coronavirus and that he is in home isolation. Mr Sawant, 47, said he is “asymptomatic and hence have opted for home isolation”. He also urged all those who had come in contact with him to take precautions.
“I wish to illuminate all that I have been recognized COVID19 positive. I am asymptomatic and henceforth have settled on home disconnection. I will keep on releasing my obligations telecommuting. The individuals who have come in my nearby contact are encouraged to play it safe,” Mr Sawant tweeted.
On Tuesday, he held a gathering by means of video meeting with officials responsible for COVID-19 consideration habitats in Goa and evaluated the working of the focuses.
A day prior to that, he had tweeted photographs of his gathering with the waterfront state’s Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, the Revenue Minister and authorities to audit the Covid the executives in Goa.
Pramod Sawant was confirmed as Goa Chief Minister in March a year ago after the demise of his antecedent Manohar Parrikar.
Mr Sawant is the fourth Chief Minister to have tried positive for Covid after his Karnataka partner BS Yediyurappa, Madhya Pradesh’s Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Haryana’s ML Khattar.
Goa has detailed 18,006 COVID-19 cases up until this point; of these two are passings connected to the infection.
