Google will automatically delete your data
Google has changed its privacy policy. Through this, now your search and location history will be deleted automatically after 18 months.
Google, the world’s largest technology company, has changed its privacy policy. Under the new setting, now Google will automatically delete the data of your search and location history and voice commands after 18 months. This feature was already available, although users had to turn it on by going into settings. However, it will now work by default for new users and their data will be automatically deleted. Older users can also apply for this new change.
The new privacy settings will work for the Google app and the web. Apart from this, Google has also released this feature for YouTube, where the feature of auto-delete was for 36 months. Explain that last year, Google gave users the feature to be deleted automatically after 3 months or 18 months. Users could select it by going to Settings. You can also change the settings
- Open the Google app on your smartphone and tap on the profile menu on the right side.
- Manage you on Google Account and go to Data & Personalization.
- Here you will see Web & App Activity under Activity Controls, go to it.
- Go to the Auto-Delete option at the bottom.
- Here 3 months, 18 months, and three options to turn it off will be shown. Choose the option of your choice.
