IAS Shah Faisal left his party’s post of president, speculation of returning to service after resignation
IAS officer Shah Faisal of Jammu and Kashmir has decided to leave his political party Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement. Shah Faisal has resigned as the party’s president on Monday evening.
Shah Faisal, an IAS officer of the Jammu and Kashmir cadre, has once again decided to return to the bureaucracy. Shah Faisal had earlier quit his job and formed his own political party, after which he continued to explore political possibilities in the valley. However, after the arrival of the new Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in the state, Shah Faisal has left his political party. There is speculation that Shah Faisal will return to the bureaucracy and become Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. However, he himself has not given any statement regarding this.
According to the information, Shah Faisal resigned from the post of president of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement Party on Monday. Shah Faisal was formerly Director Education of Jammu and Kashmir. In Jammu and Kashmir, he formed his own Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement Party in the past. Many new people were also included in this party. However, after changing political equations and the posting of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in the top post in the state, it is being said that Shah Faisal can be a part of his team.
Shah Faisal became the topper of UPSC exam in 2010
Significantly, he topped the Civil Services Examination of the year 2010 and was allotted the Home Cadre of IAS. Faisal’s well-wishers, popular as an honest officer, warned him that he might not like politics if he resigned to join politics in 2018.

Sources also say that the government recently made him feel that he had no objection to his joining the civil service. If he chooses to join the administration service, he will set another record for the shortest political career in Jammu and Kashmir. He founded JKPM in early 2019 with much fanfare.
