India extends ban on international flights till July 31
Scheduled international passenger flights have remained suspended in India since March 23 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The ministry of civil aviation on Friday extended the ban on international flights till July 31. The earlier order said the ban would be in place till July 15.
The choice comes even as the limit on household courses has been expanded to 45% from the prior 33%.
On Thursday, chairman of Airports Authority of India (AAI) had said India is in chats with the US and Canada and the nations in European and Gulf districts on setting up individual reciprocal air pockets which will permit airlines of every nation in the agreement to work for worldwide flights.
“I am certain there would be a positive result of the discussions with the US, Canada and with the Gulf nations and the dealings are going on,” Arvind Singh had said yesterday.
