Indigo Airlines has introduced a special scheme (booking of 2 seats), under which it is offering to book 2 seats. The airline has named it the ‘6E Double Seat’ scheme. Let’s know about it.

Highlights

  • Indigo has offered to book two seats to ensure extra security in the Corona era
  • Fees for additional seats will be up to 25 percent of the original booking cost.
  • This offer is effective 24 July 2020
  • The airline has named it the ‘6E Double Seat’ scheme.

Indigo on Friday launched a scheme, under which people who want to ensure extra security amidst the coronavirus epidemic, can book two seats for a passenger (indigo offer of booking 2 seats). “The fee for the additional seats will be up to 25 percent of the original booking cost,” the airline said in a statement. The offer is effective on 24 July 2020. ”

Indigo said the ‘6E Double Seat’ scheme would not be available through travel portals, Indigo call centers, or airport counters. The benefit of this scheme can be availed only from the website of Indigo. Indeed, IndiGo conducted an online survey of 25,000 passengers between June 20 and June 28, which cited a lack of physical distance as a major concern.

The survey said that 62 percent of people described physical distance as a major concern. “Air travel is the safest approach at the moment, but we understand the emotional need to protect customers,” IndiGo Chief Strategy and Income Officer Sanjay Kumar said on Friday. “We get such requests.” We were happy to offer the option to book two seats for a passenger to ensure extra security. ”
