Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced a new rule for ticket booking. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, some changes were made to the rules to follow the protocol.

IRCTC has now concluded that the subsequent reservation diagram will be readied 30 minutes before the booked flight of trains. Throughout the previous hardly any months, due to the Covid pandemic, the subsequent diagram was readied two hours ahead of time so as to tell the travelers who had booked the billet in a train.

Before the Covid-19 flare-up, IRCTC used to deliver the main diagram four hours before the flight of the train. For booking of the excess seats, voyagers could move toward traveler reservation framework (PRS) counters even 30 minutes before the train’s takeoff. They could likewise book the seats online before the arrangement of the subsequent reservation outline. The seats were assigned on the early bird gets the worm premise.

The choice of setting up the subsequent reservation diagram 30 minutes before the flight of the trains has been taken after zonal railroads mentioned for the equivalent. This has been accomplished for the accommodation of travelers.

Indian Railways in an assertion said that the subsequent reservation diagrams were readied 30 minutes to 5 minutes before the takeoff of the train. According to the arrangements of the discount, it was allowed to drop booked tickets during this period. This gave help to the travelers going through trains since they could drop tickets and get a discount regardless of whether the arrangement changes finally.

The fundamental changes were given to the Center for Railway Information System (CRIS) so as to reestablish the new arrangements in the product, successful from October 10, said the Railway Ministry.

IRCTC e-booking rules have continued as before. According to a railroad official, travelers should show up at the rail route station an hour or two preceding the flight of the train.

· Fill your source and destination stations

· Select journey date and class of coach

· Click on ‘Find Trains’ option

· A number of options will appear

· Choose the train that suits your requirement

· Click on ‘Availability and Fare’

· The berth fare of the particular train along with the number of available seats on a particular date will be displayed

· Click on ‘Book Now’ if there are seats available

· At this stage, you will be asked to log in to your IRCTC account

· Enter your credentials to login

· Fill in the details of passenger(s) to book the seats

· Pay the fare of the seat(s) to finalise your booking
