IRCTC to restart Tejas Express trains, bookings to open soon
- The operation of Lucknow-New Delhi and Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas trains was suspended due to Covid 19 pandemic
- Both the trains are expected to restart operations from 17 October
The Indian Railway Catering And Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) a PSU of the Ministry of Railways is all set to restart the operation of Tejas Express trains for catering to the growing passenger demand due to the festive season. The Lucknow-New Delhi and Ahmedabad-Mumbai Tejas Express trains were suspended from 19 March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Both the trains are expected to restart operations from 17 October.
IRCTC has led a broad preparing system to teach and train its group of representatives of Tejas Trains to deal with the activities of the trains and offer types of assistance as per the ‘new typical’ in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. A Standard Operation Procedure watching the Covid-19 convention has been given to guarantee the security of the travelers.
1) Every other seat will be kept empty after the Social separating standards for the underlying time frame.
2) Passengers won’t be permitted to trade their seats once situated.
3) Use of face covers/covers will be obligatory for travelers and staff.
4) All voyagers will introduce “Arogya Setu” application and the same will have appeared as and when requested.
5) Detailed directions will be given to the travelers at the hour of booking of tickets.
6) All the travelers will be given a Covid-19 security pack which will contain a container of hand sanitizers, one veil, one face shield, and one set of gloves.
7) All the travelers will experience warm screening and hand disinfection measures before entering the mentor.
8) The mentor including washroom territories and toilets will be completely sterilized at ordinary stretches.
9) The gear and stuff of the travelers will be cleaned by a staff deputed for this reason.
10) Cleaning and standard purification of habitually contacted surfaces inside the mentor will be finished. The administration plate and streetcars will likewise be sterilized.

IRCTC began the activity of its first corporate train, the Lucknow-Delhi-Lucknow IRCTC Tejas Express Train No. 82501/02 on fourth October a year ago, while the Ahmedabad – Mumbai – Ahmedabad IRCTC Tejas Express Train No. 82901/02 hit the tracks on nineteenth January this year.
