Jammu and Kashmir BJP expels 10 members, including 8 for contesting against official candidates in DDC polls
A BJP leader said the members’ decision to contest against official candidates on tickets from other parties or as Independents amounts to ‘indiscipline that creates unrest in party cadre’
The Jammu and Kashmir BJP on Thursday expelled 10 members for anti-party activities after eight of them contested the District Development Council (DDC) polls and the panchayat by-elections in the union territory against the party’s official candidates.
They were seen as liable of hostile to party exercises and ousted on the proposals of the disciplinary board of the gathering, BJP functionaries said.
The removed pioneers incorporate Santosh Kumari, general secretary of Ramkot Mandal, who challenged as an Independent from the Nagrota Gujroo regional voting public; Satish Sharma, Shakti Kendra boss, who challenged as a competitor of DSS from Billawar, and Makkhan Lal Jamoria, leader individual from Mandal, who challenging as an Independent from Billawar and was upheld by Surinder Singh, Shakti Kender Pramukh Baggan.
