Jio now brings a clone of WhatsApp after the Zoom app
After copying the video calling app zoom, now Reliance Jio has given a new look to Jiochat while copying WhatsApp.
The country’s largest telecom company is focusing on digital platforms these days. The company recently brought out the video conferencing software JioMeet, which was in the news due to the exact appearance of Zoom apps. Now the company has brought a clone of another famous app WhatsApp. The company has given a new look to its JioChat app, whose user interface is exactly like WhatsApp.
Please tell that Jio Chat is a very old app of the company. The app has received 5 crore downloads so far on the Play Store. The company recently changed its look, after which it is difficult to differentiate between WhatsApp and Geochat. Interestingly, WhatsApp-owned Facebook has bought a large stake in Jio shortly before.
What are the similarities
Anyone can get cheated by seeing both apps at a glance. Everything from the color scheme of these two, product name placement, search and camera icons, and Chat and Status tab are the same. However, the option of Status in Geochat has been named as Stories. In order to make a slight difference, an additional feature called Channels has also been provided in Jio Chat, and calls icon has been given instead of Calls tab.
Live why are you doing this
There is a lot of discussion on Twitter about both the apps being similar. Some people say that Reliance Jio has done this so that users are not inconvenienced in shifting from one platform to the Jio platform. At the same time, some people say that this is the marketing strategy of the company so that it can be seen by the users.
