RJD may send Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav to the RJD Legislative Council. Tejapratap is currently an MLA from Mahua seat, but it is discussed that he can leave the assembly seat and go to the Legislative Council. Sources say that Tej Pratap Yadav can send one candidate each from the Backward and Minority quota to the casteist equations in the RJD Legislative Council in view of the assembly elections this time.
Sources say that within the RJD, there is a demand from a higher caste, especially from the Rajput community, to make a Legislative Council candidate. It is being said that RJD has sent AD Singh to Rajya Sabha from Bhumihar society, then Rajputs should get candidature in the Legislative Council.
RJD will get 3 seats in the Legislative Council
Elections are to be held for the nine seats of Bihar Legislative Council. At present, all the seats are under the quota of JDU and BJP, but this time, according to the strength of the parties in the assembly, three seats will go to RJD’s account. At the same time, one seat is also going to go to the Congress account. Of the remaining five, three will go to JDU and two to BJP.
There should be no confusion regarding CM face
The constituents of the Grand Alliance are not ready to convince Tejashwi Yadav as the chief minister’s face in the upcoming assembly elections. RJD has already stamped his name. In such a situation, the party feels that in the midst of the assembly elections, there should be no confusion about the face of Tejashtap and Tej Pratap. Sources say that it is for this reason that there is talk of sending Tej Pratap Yadav to the Legislative Council.
RJD can also send them to the Legislative Council
Sources say that the RJD may send Rambali Singh Chandravanshi to the Legislative Council from the quota of the Backward Classes. Rambali is currently the state president of RJD’s Most Backward Cell. If the third seat is given in the minority quota, then the party can bet on Faisal Ali. However, people of Rajput society are also seeking a seat. Sources say that RJD state president Jagdanand Singh and Biscoman president Sunil Singh also want to go to the Legislative Council. However, the final decision has to be taken with the consent of the Lalu family and senior party leaders.
