Marathon 57-hour curfew in Ahmedabad from today, here’s what will remain open
The announcement was made by Additional Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar Gupta that the decision was taken after a reviewing the coronavirus situation late on Thursday night.
In a move to check the alarming rise of novel coronavirus cases in Ahmedabad, authorities decided to impose a “complete curfew” from today (November 20).
The time limit period starts from 9:00 pm of November 20 till the morning of November 23 at 6:00 am. The choice to force the long-distance race 57-hour long time limitation was taken following a late-night audit of the Covid circumstance in Ahmedabad.
Extra Chief Secretary (Forest and Environment) Rajiv Kumar Gupta declared on Twitter that during the ‘time limit’ period, just shops selling milk and meds will be allowed to stay open in Ahmedabad.
“The Corona circumstance was checked on late night and it has been concluded that “total curfew”shall be forced from tomorrow evening 9:00 pm till Monday morning 6:00 am in the city of Ahmedabad. During this period, just shops selling milk and meds will be allowed to stay open,” he composed.
Gupta educated that after the 57-hour time limit finishing on Monday morning, there will be a night check-in time in Ahmedabad which will stay in power day by day between 9 pm and 6 am with impact from Friday (November 20) till additional requests.
Gupta was designated as the Officer on Special Duty by the Gujarat government to supervise Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC’s) Covid related activities.
