Massive Fire At ONGC’s Surat Plant After 3 Blasts
According to initial information, three consecutive blasts took place at two terminals of the Hazira-based ONGC plant in Surat at around 3:30 am. The blast was followed by a massive fire that could be seen from a distance.
A massive fire that broke out at an Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) gas processing plant in Gujarat early this morning has been brought under control, the company said. “There is no casualty or injury to any person,” ONGC said on its Twitter account.
As indicated by authentic data, three continuous impacts occurred at two terminals of the Hazira-based ONGC plant in Surat at around 3:00 AM. The impact was trailed by a huge fire that could be seen in a good way.
The sound of the impact has heard the extent that 10 km, as per onlookers.
The fire was supposedly brought about by a crack in the 36-inch Uran-Mumbai gas pipeline.
The sum total of what terminals have been shut down as a careful step.
“Around 3:05 am the previous evening, three successive impacts occurred at the ONGC Hazira plant which prompted the fire. Seven fire tenders and a few firemen quickly arrived at the spot to give help. No setbacks have been accounted for up until this point,” Surat Collector Dhaval Patel was cited as saying by news organization ANI.
He further said that the depressurization of the pressurized gas framework was in progress.
“We are diminished that the fire was contained inside the premises of the plant and didn’t rise to an off-site crisis,” he included. The authority said that the ONGC plant will likewise turn out to be mostly operational in a few hours.
