MK Alagiri’s loyalist KP Ramalingam joined the BJP ahead of Home Minister Amit Shah’s in Chennai. Ramalingam has said that he had already earlier informed Alagiri about the plan and decision to join the saffron party.
“I have close relations with MK Alagiri. I will attempt to carry him to Bharatiya Janta Party, said Ramalingam.
Ramalingam had before met BJP pioneer CT Ravi and had additionally looked for time to Amit Shah in Chennai.

He is the third chief from DMK to join BJP in 2020.
