All the needs related to further education, health, and survival of the daughters of 25 sex workers working in the GB Road area will now be taken care of by Gautam Gambhir and the organization he runs.

Eminent former cricketer and BJP MP from East Delhi Gautam Gambhir are going to take a new initiative for a better future of daughters of sex workers of Delhi. All the needs related to further education, health, and living of the daughters of 25 sex workers working in the GB Road area will now be taken care of by Gautam Gambhir and the organization he runs. The campaign has been named ‘Pankar’, which will be launched on Friday. For this, 10 girls have also been selected, while they work to select 15 more girls is going on.

Explaining the purpose of starting this campaign, Gautam Gambhir said that every person in society has the right to live a good life. It is our endeavor that these girls can also get more and more new opportunities to fulfill their dreams. We are trying to give them the same opportunity. Right now the 10 girls we have selected will be read in different government schools from this new education session. We will bear the entire expenses of their school fees, their uniforms, books, and stationery, food and health. They will also be counseled so that they can consider themselves as part of this society and can move forward fearlessly.

Gambhir told that these girls are currently living in Shelter Homes of Delhi, but their identity is being kept secret. A total of 25 girls are targeted to be included by the next education session. Under this, efforts will be made to empower girls from 5 to 18 years through counseling, so that they do not miss their studies. Gambhir has appealed that if someone wants to come forward to help these girls and financially support their education, health, food, and water needs, then they can join this initiative.

Gambhir said that it is his grandmother’s birthday on Friday and with his blessing on the same day, he will start this new initiative, because all credit goes to him as well. His foundation is also working for a better future for the children of the 200 martyrs who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country.
