Mumbai: TV actor arrested by NCB for buying drugs

THE NARCOTICS Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday registered two cases in which six people were placed under arrest under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Those arrested include a TV actress and a Tanzanian national.
As per the police, following up on data got, a group of Mumbai Zonal Unit captured two people at Machhimar settlement, Versova on Saturday around 7pm. A NCB official stated, “The group prevailing with regards to influencing a capture of 99 grams of ganja from their ownership.”
A NCB official said after due cross examination and recording admissions, the provider Faisal (20), and Preetika Chauhan, (30), beneficiary, were captured and delivered under the steady gaze of the court. Chauhan has worked in a few TV serials, as Maa Vaishnodevi.
During cross examination, it was uncovered that the held onto ganja was sourced from one Deepak Rathaur, likewise a Versova inhabitant. An authority said that Rathaur has been captured before too by the Mumbai Anti-Narcotics Cell for supposedly providing drugs.
In a different case, an authority stated, in view of explicit data got on October 23, a NCB Mumbai group held onto four grams of cocaine at Mohammad Ali Road in south Mumbai and captured one Bruno John Ngwale, a Tanzanian public. The capture was made on Saturday.
Over the span of examination, a subsequent group held onto 4.40 gram of Ecstasy and 1.88 gram of MDMA (absolute 6.28 grams) at Versova, Andheri, and captured one Rohit Hire on Saturday.
Further after up on this, another group of NCB Mumbai held onto 325 grams ganja, 32 gram Charas and 05 grams methamphetamine from a vehicle alongside capture of Rs. 12,990. “We captured one individual regarding this case,” an authority said.
