Northern Railway, in support of #BoycottChina, canceled the contract of Beijing National Railway

The #BoycottChina campaign is gaining momentum after the Galvan Valley incident. Indian Railways has set up a Chinese company Beijing National Railway Research and Design Institute of Signal and Communication Limited has been canceled. This company got the contract to build the Kanpur-Deen Dayal Upadhyay section. It is about 417 km long corridor.
The contract was awarded by China to the Chinese company in June 2016 for Rs 471 crore. Only 20 percent of the work has been done in the last four years.
Regarding canceling the contract, it was said that according to the company agreement, technical documents such as logic design, electronic interlocking have not been submitted regarding this project. Apart from this, no engineers or officers of the company were also available on the site.
