Omar Abdullah Claims Non-BJP Candidates Stopped From J&K Polls Campaigning
Omar Abdullah alleged non-BJP candidates in fray for the elections were stopped from campaigning, while the administration was going out of its way to help the BJP.
National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah on Wednesday questioned the rationale behind holding District Development Council (DDC) polls in Jammu and Kashmir as he claimed candidates were being stopped from campaigning on security grounds.
He asserted non-BJP up-and-comers in the brawl for the decisions were halted from crusading, while the organization was making a special effort to support the BJP.
“What kind of races are being held in J&K where up-and-comers are being halted from battling? Is this the sheltered, dread free J&K the Home Minister was tweeting about yesterday,” Mr. Abdullah said in a tweet.
He asserted up-and-comers from parties restricting the BJP were being secured.
“The J&K organization is making a special effort to support the BJP and it’s as of late made ruler’s gathering by securing competitors restricted to the BJP, blaming security. In the event that the security circumstance isn’t helpful for battling what was the need to declare decisions,” he asked in another tweet.
PDP president Mehbooba Mufti additionally said non-BJP up-and-comers were not permitted to battle uninhibitedly.
“Non-BJP contender for DDC surveys aren’t permitted to battle openly and are being secured on the affectation of security. But BJP and its intermediaries are given full bandobast to move around.
