The high court has ordered to maintain the status quo in the midst of the continuing political turmoil in Rajasthan. The court has given its verdict on the petition filed by the Sachin Pilot camp. In this, the court has stayed the disqualification notice of the Rajasthan Legislative Speaker. After this decision, the speaker will not be able to take any action against Sachin Pilot and 18 other MLAs for the time being. Now all eyes are on the Supreme Court, where the hearing will be held on Monday. The Sachin Pilot camp has got immediate relief from the High Court in this matter.
Big relief to the pilot camp on the notice of the speaker
The decision has come on a petition challenging the notice disqualifying Sachin Pilot and 18 other MLAs from the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. He has got a big relief from the court. The court of Rajasthan High Court Chief Justice Inderjit Mahanti and Justice Prakash Gupta ruled. He has issued an order to maintain the status quo in this case. Earlier, the court had reserved the judgment on Tuesday till July 24.
Political fights in Rajasthan, what has happened so far?
In Rajasthan, the Speaker gave notice of disqualification to Sachin Pilot and 18 other MLAs. He was asked for an answer by noon on 17 July. On 16 July, the pilot moved the Khema High Court against the notice. A single bench of the High Court heard and referred the matter to the two-judge bench. The court of Chief Justice Inderjit Mahanti and Judge Prakash Gupta fixed the hearing on 18 July. After the hearing on 18 July, a date was given for further hearing on 20 July.
This is how the Supreme Court reached the High Court
The High Court did not complete the debate on 20 July, then further hearing was held on 21 July. On 21, the court reserved the decision till 24 July. The speaker was also asked not to take any decision until then on notice. After this, Speaker CP Joshi filed a petition in the Supreme Court. On July 23, a hearing was held in the Supreme Court, in which he refused to stay the hearing of the Rajasthan High Court. The Supreme Court said on Thursday that the High Court can pass the decision, but the decision will depend on the stand of the Supreme Court.

The hearing on the Rajasthan case was also heard in the Supreme Court on Thursday. A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on behalf of the Rajasthan Assembly Speaker CP Joshi, in which senior advocate Kapil Sibal argued on his behalf. Sibal referred to the decision of the Constitution Bench in the 1992 Hotto Holohon case in the Supreme Court. He said that according to this decision, the court cannot interfere before the Speaker’s decision on the issue of disqualification. Any petition filed in court before the disqualification process is not hearable. However, the court gave the next hearing date on Monday in the case.
