PM Narendra Modi launches property card scheme for rural households
One lakh beneficiaries handed over legal papers of their houses
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the physical distribution of property cards under the “SVAMITVA” (ownership) scheme through video-conferencing today.
He said these cards would be given to each rustic household the nation over throughout the following 3-4 years.

One lakh recipients from Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh were given over the lawful papers of their homes today.
“The plan will help in reinforcing the Panchayati raj framework for which endeavors are being made for as long as six years,” Modi said. “It will make town the board simpler for gram panchayats on the lines of districts and metropolitan companies,” he included.
“This will make ready for villagers to utilize the property as a financial resource for taking advances and other financial advantages, and end questions among villagers over land possession,” he said.
