PM Narendra Modi offers condolences to Nawaz Sharif on his mother’s death

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter to PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in November, extending “heartfelt condolences” to Pakistan’s former premier over his mother’s death on November 22.
The letter was sent to Sharif’s girl and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz by the Indian High Commission in Islamabad a week ago with a solicitation to be passed on to her dad, who has been dwelling in London since 2019.
In the letter dated November 27, Prime Minister Modi passed on his “genuine sympathies” to Sharif over his mom’s demise. “Dear Mian Sahib, I am profoundly disheartened to find out about the death of your mom Begum Shamim Akhtar on November 22 in London. My genuine sympathies are with you in this hour of extreme melancholy,” PM Modi wrote in the letter.
PM Modi reviewed his association with Sharif’s mom during his short amazement visit to Lahore in 2015, saying: “Her effortlessness and warmth was for sure contacting.” “At this time of significant sorrow, I go to the Almighty to give solidarity to you and your family to bear this hopeless misfortune,” he added.
In a different letter shipped off Maryam on December 11 at her Lahore home, Indian Charge d’Affaires Gaurav Ahluwalia mentioned her to pass on the sympathy message to Nawaz in London.
