Proud over the meeting of the Standing Committee in Nepal, Prachanda reached to persuade PM KP Sharma Oli
Nepal Communist Party Standing Committee Meeting: There is a fierce drama in Nepal about the Standing Committee meeting of the Communist Party. After the boycott of the Oli faction, Prachanda and his supporters have reached the Nepalese PM’s residence.
There is a ruckus within the ruling Communist Party in Nepal. There is a fierce drama about the Standing Committee meeting between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the faction of former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda. Oli’s faction claims that the meeting of the standing committee of the party to be held today has been postponed, while Prachanda and his supporters have reached the Prime Minister’s residence. Out of a total of 45, 25 members are present at Oli’s residence. On the other hand, Oli has been summoned to come to the meeting.
According to the Kathmandu Post report, Surya Thapa, press advisor to Prime Minister Oli said that the meeting has been postponed as the proposal has not yet been prepared by Oli and Prachanda. On the other hand, Member of Standing Committee Matrika Yadav said that even if Oli refuses to join, there will be a meeting. He said, “We are already present in the meeting hall and are waiting for other members to come.”
Let us know that the conversation between Oli and Prachanda is going on from June 2 but no agreement has been reached. Now both Oli and Prachanda have tightened their stand. Prachanda’s group is demanding Oli’s resignation, while PM Oli has threatened to take stern steps if he is forced to step down. It is being told that Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is trying to save power on the strength of China, is now preparing to dissolve the parliament and hold mid-term elections.
Both Oli and Prachanda are busy making their respective strategies.
According to a report in the Nepali newspaper Kantipur, both KP Sharma Oli and his adversary Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ are busy chalking out their respective strategies for check and check. Looking at the preparations of Oli, it seems that the possibility of an agreement between the two factions of the Nepal Communist Party is becoming less. According to sources, Oli has been considering two options.
First, an ordinance should be brought on the party’s partition so that the election symbol of the Communist Party remains with them. Secondly, mid-term elections should be conducted by dissolving the Parliament. However, both of these strategies are not going to be easy for Oli.
Sources said that Oli has even prepared his speech to explain the reasons for dissolving Parliament and holding mid-term elections. Earlier, Prachanda, the co-chair of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) had clearly said that the possibility of the party breaking up is not over yet. He has alleged that some people have registered a party named CPN-UMN with the Election Commission of the country at the behest of PM Oli.
‘PM Oli behaves because of crisis in NCP’
To end the political crisis that arose between the Communist Party, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal had held a series of meetings, leading to speculation that some reconciliation might occur. However, its hope is now becoming bleak. The differences between Prime Minister Oli’s faction and former Prime Minister Prachanda’s camp could not be resolved at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP). Prachanda gave this statement only a few days after this meeting.
