The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday (November 18) informed about the status of measures announced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah to contain COVID-19 spread in Delhi and said that the Indian Railways is making available train coaches with 800 beds at Shakur Basti railway station. “Indian Railways making available train coaches with 800 beds at Shakur Basti railway station. The MHA said that 45 specialists and 160 paramedics from CAPFs have arrived at Delhi for sending at DRDO medical clinic close to Delhi air terminal and at COVID care focus at Chhatarpur.
It said that DRDO will add 250 ICU beds and will set up 35 BIPAP beds in the following 3-4 days at its COVID medical clinic close to Delhi air terminal.
The service said that 5 RT-PCR labs including at AIIMS, Delhi has just begun working nonstop and working is in progress to direct 60,000 RT-PCR tests every day by November end.
