Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh has died during treatment in Singapore. He had been struggling with the disease for a long time. Prior to this, he has been a veteran leader of the Samajwadi Party.

Amar Singh, a former Samajwadi Party (SP) leader who has been battling a long time, has passed away. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore due to illness. Amar Singh, once considered to be one of the tallest leaders of Uttar Pradesh, was among those close to Mulayam Singh Yadav, who was the head of the Samajwadi Party. Recently he also apologized to Amitabh Bachchan.
