A major goal of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has been fulfilled with the worship of Bhumi for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya by PM Narendra Modi. The Sangh had made a big movement to build the temple. Now the question is arising that what is next on the agenda of the Sangh?
The RSS believes that temple construction is proof of nationality and cultural identity in the country. On the question of the goal of the Sangh, a senior RSS convenor said that after the construction of Ram Janmabhoomi and temple, more people will join the Sangh’s ideas. He said that the Sangh believes that Rama and his values are at the heart of Indian thought, culture, and sociality.
PM Modi’s mother, Hiraben, celebrated the Ram temple Bhoomi Pujan and said that Congress and other opposition parties failed to understand the political form of the temple movement. They could not understand the popular sentiment of the public. He said, ‘This was not a strategy of the Sangh. The Sangh has always maintained its opinion about the birthplace. ‘
He said that the claim of Hindus was finally upheld by the Supreme Court and delivered a unanimous verdict. The ‘secular’ parties were not really expecting it. Acceptance of RSS thoughts is the success story and the temple is the biggest proof of this. When asked what is the opinion about Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanvapi mosque, the RSS leader said that there is no need for a roadmap for this as the matter is in the court. The main issue is the acceptance of Hindutva and its identity. Once such an idea is approved, then such cases will be resolved by themselves. He said that some other way will come out. The solution to every problem is not the same.
The Sangh believes that the presence of Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat in the Ram temple Bhumi Pujan was a retaliation for the campaigns against him. There were several attempts to isolate the Sangh and attacks were made on its ideas. But the Ram temple movement proved that change can happen. In fact, the Sangh’s ideas challenged the mainstream and this was troubling the opponents.
