Ramdas Athawale Meets Governor, Seeks Compensation For Kangana Ranaut’s Office
The Minister of State for Social Justice had met the actress at her residence in Mumbai’s Khar on Thursday.
Union minister Ramdas Athawale met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari today, seeking “justice” and compensation for Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, whose office in Mumbai was partially pulled down by the civic body.
Ramdas Athawale said he told the lead representative that Kangana Ranaut was served a notification and inside 24 hours, the destruction was done on Wednesday by the Shiv Sena-controlled Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) while she was not in the city.
The Minister of State for Social Justice had met the entertainer at her living arrangement in Mumbai’s Khar on Thursday and disclosed to her that she need not be apprehensive while in the city.
“I had conversations with the lead representative for 20-25 minutes (at Raj Bhavan). We talked about the issue of identifying with Kangana Ranaut. The bad form was distributed to her,” Mr. Athawale told correspondents after the gathering.
Claiming that the BMC likewise broke furniture of Ms. Ranaut’s office during the destruction drive, he blamed the municipal body for abusing its forces.
“I asked the lead representative to guarantee that Kangana Ranaut gets equity and remuneration,” Mr. Athawale said.
The Shiv Sena, which heads the union government in the state, and Kangana Ranaut had occupied with a war of words after she compared Mumbai to Pakistan-involved Kashmir (PoK) and said she dreaded Mumbai Police more than the supposed film mafia.
Utilizing a piece of machinery and excavators, a BMC group had annihilated the changes supposedly made without the urban body’s endorsement at Ms. Ranaut’s cottage at Pali Hill on Wednesday morning.
