SC judge U U Lalit recuses himself from hearing pleas against Andhra CM Jagan Reddy
The pleas alleged that Reddy not only wrote a letter to Chief Justice of India (CJI) S A Bobde levelling allegations against the judiciary but also held a press conference in which false statements were made.
Supreme Court judge U U Lalit on Monday recused himself from hearing pleas seeking action against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for levelling allegations against the judiciary.
“I experience issues. As a legal counselor, I hosted spoke to one of the gatherings. I will pass a request for it to be recorded before a Bench without me,” Justice Lalit stated, revealed news organization PTI.
A seat including judges Lalit, Vineet Saran, and S Ravindra Bhat was to hear three petitions looking for different reliefs against Reddy. The supplications claimed that Reddy not just composed a letter to Chief Justice of India (CJI) S A Bobde leveling charges against the legal executive yet in addition held a question and answer session in which bogus articulations were made.

A week ago, Attorney General K Venugopal declined a solicitation to reevaluate his choice rejecting agree to start scorn procedures against Jagan however said that that it is “available to the Supreme Court to take up the matter of hatred suo motu as given by the Contempt of Courts Act” since “the very essence of the supposed disdain lies in the substance of the letter composed by” Reddy to the CJI.
