Sonu Punjaban imprisoned for 24 years for pushing 12-year-old girl into prostitution

Sonu Punjaban has been sentenced to 24 years of imprisonment for kidnapping a 12-year-old girl and pushing her into the business of prostitution. Also, accused Sandeep Bedwal has been sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment. Dwarka court of Delhi has given strict punishment to Sonu Punjaban and Sandeep Bedwal in human trafficking, kidnapping, and rape cases.

The Dwarka Posco court convicted both of them for kidnapping a 12-year-old girl, prostitution, and human trafficking. The case is of Harish Vihar police station in Delhi. According to the FIR, the victim girl was kidnapped on 11 September 2009. According to the birth certificate presented in Dwarka court on behalf of the girl’s father, the date of birth of the victim was on 9 November 1996, i.e. her age at the time of the incident was just 12 years 10 months and 2 days.
