The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed public interest litigation seeking permission for taking out Muharram processions, saying a general direction for the entire country in this regard will lead to chaos.
“It is unimaginable to expect to give general bearings for the whole nation. It will make turmoil. That specific network will be focused on spreading Covid-19… we don’t need that,” a three-judge seat headed by the central equity of India SA Bobde said. The seat said such a request can place the whole network in trouble and noticed that states were likewise not made gatherings by the applicant, Muslim priest Kalbe Jawad.

Two days back, the Supreme Court heard a comparable supplication searching consent for taking out Muharram processions. The seat, headed by CJI Bobde, coordinated the applicant, one Sipte Mohammad from Uttar Pradesh , to remember all states for his appeal and posted the issue for a meeting following a month.
