Recently 59 Chinese apps have been banned by the Government of India and these include Tiktok. Even though TicketLock is a Chinese app, users in China cannot use it. In China, users do not get the option to download or use TicketTock, and instead, an app named Douyin is used by Chinese people only.

Due to the privacy and security of data of the users of the country, 59 Chinese apps have been banned by the Government of India and this includes TikTok. Crores of people were using short video sharing app TikTok in India, but this Chinese app itself is banned in our country. It may surprise you, but it is true. Chinese citizens cannot use the Global TikTok app and do not get the option to create an account on this app.

China is very alert about the online activity of its users and there are a lot of restrictions on cyberspace. There is a ban on all global social media platforms in China, from Facebook to WhatsApp and Tiketok. Chinese users use Weibo instead of Facebook, Baidu instead of Google, Youku instead of YouTube, and WeChat instead of WhatsApp. With millions of users, TikTok is always banned in China, whereas it is a Chinese app itself.

This app replaces TikTok

As an alternative to TikTok, users in China use an app named Douyin. This app offers features such as TicketLock but it cannot be used or accessed outside China. The reason for TikTok being banned in China, despite being a Chinese company ByteDance, is that the Chinese government does not want to allow its citizens’ videos to be shared with global users. Douyin is undoubtedly considered to be the Chinese version of Tiktok, but it can only be used by the people of China.

Chinese apps boost

If a user in China wants to create his TikTok account or use the app, then he must have a registered mobile number outside China. Similarly, if a user outside China wants to access and use Douyin, then his number should be registered in China. Although China does not have a provision for punishment for accessing global apps and social media, the country has created cyberspace in such a way that users use Chinese apps only.
