TikTok was spying millions of users, revealing new features of iOS 14
Chinese short video making app Tiktok was spying millions of iPhone users for many years and it has been caught red-handed with the help of Apple’s new feature. Apple has introduced a feature in iOS 14 update, which will tell the user that an app is accessing the mic, camera, or clipboard in the background. Tiktok was caught because of this warning.
A new iOS 14 updates has been released by Apple and a feature of the company can detect apps that are accessing users’ data. Due to a flaw in the previous version, the apps could access the clipboard of the device and now the user will get a warning as soon as an app does so. With the help of this feature, it has been learned that Chinese app TikTok was spying millions of iPhone users for a long time. Ticketcock used to frequently access the clipboard of users and could read their notes.
Security researchers Talal Haj Bakri and Tommy Misk pointed out that TikTok is one of the users’ spying apps. Ticketcock’s owner company Bytdance previously said the problem was due to an outdated Google advertising SDK, which has been replaced. However, this is not the case as the new clipboard warning feature of iOS 14 has Ticketock caught repeatedly accessing the clipboard. This means TickTalk is still doing this and in April he did not fix it as promised.
(it’s a beta, so I’m not complaining, just…observing in public)

Caught red-handed app
Tiktok has now given a new excuse to do so, saying, “The issue is now triggered due to a feature associated with detecting repetitive and spam behavior.” The company said, “We have already submitted an updated version on the App Store and the anti-spam feature is being removed so that there is no further confusion.” If the experts are to be believed, Tiktok has been caught doing such actions which he should not have done and is now claiming to fix it.

Tiktok was caught earlier while accessing the personal data and notes of the users and then the company had talked about fixing it as a flaw. However, with the help of the new iOS 14 feature, this lie of the company came to the fore and no improvement or change from the app was made even after this was revealed. Anything copied or pasted into Apple’s Universal Clipboard can also be read on other Apple devices. During this time Ticketlock can read from password to mails when activated.
