Two-thirds of corona patients have recovered, very few need ventilator
Coronavirus India update: The total number of corona virus cases in India has exceeded 1.6 million. So far, 10.57 lakh patients have returned home defeating Kovid-19.

There is good news among the record cases of Kovid-19. So far, two-thirds of corona patients have recovered and gone home. This information was given by the Union Health Minister Dr. Hashvardhan at the Group of Ministers (GoM) meeting. He said that in the last 24 hours, the number of patients recovered from Kovid-19 has crossed 1 million. Today, 10,57,805 people have become corona free. There are a total of 16,38,870 cases in the country. According to Hashvardhan, India’s recovery rate has improved to 64.54 percent. The Fidelity rate is also being recorded.
1. Recovery rate improved
India’s recovery rate is constantly getting better. A record number of recoveries are being recorded in the last week of July. At present, there are 5,45,318 active cases in India, which is almost half of the case.
2. 1 million people are recovered
The number of people who won the fight against the corona virus has crossed the 1 million mark. In the last 24 hours, more than 37 thousand people have recovered and returned to their homes.
3. The number of critical cases reduced
0.27 percent of the patients in the country were on a ventilator, 1.58 percent are admitted to ICU. 2.28 percent of patients are in need of some kind of oxygen support.
4. Doubling rate also increased
Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that corona cases in India are doubling in 21 days. The dabbling rate ranged between 10–12 days in the month of June.
5. Millions of tests are being done every day
Talking about improvement in testing infrastructure, the Union Health Minister said that over 6.42 lakh samples have been tested in the last 24 hours. The Health Minister claimed that in the last month there have been about 10 million tests across the country.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Union Health Minister at Nirman Bhawan. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri were also present.
Record new cases in the last 24 hours
Kovid-19 has recorded the highest number of 55,078 cases in the last 24 hours across the country. Just two days ago there were 1.5 million cases of corona in the country. According to data from the Union Health Ministry, the death toll has risen to 35,747 after 779 more people died in the last 24 hours. This is the second consecutive day that more than 50,000 cases of Kovid-19 have been reported. There are still 5,45,318 people in the country in the grip of infection.
Most deaths due to other serious diseases
Of the 35,747 deaths due to the infection so far, Maharashtra has the highest number of deaths at 14,728. After this, 3,936 people have died in Delhi. 3,838 in Tamil Nadu, 2,418 in Gujarat, 2,230 in Karnataka, 1,587 in Uttar Pradesh, 1,536 in West Bengal, 1,281 in Andhra Pradesh and 857 in Madhya Pradesh. 663 people from Kovid-19 in Rajasthan so far, 505 in Telangana, 417 in Haryana, 370 in Punjab, 365 in Jammu and Kashmir, 282 in Bihar, 169 in Odisha, 103 in Jharkhand, 94 in Assam, 76 in Uttarakhand and 70 people have died in Kerala.
51 in Chhattisgarh, 48 in Puducherry, 42 in Goa, 21 in Tripura, 14-14 in Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh, seven in Ladakh, five each in Meghalaya and Nagaland, four each in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh Three people died in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and two in Daman and Diu and one in Sikkim. The Ministry of Health says that more than 70 percent of people have died due to other serious diseases.
